The combination of the new unique insert designs and the MEGACOAT NANO PR15** series grades covers drilling applications in steel, stainless steels and cast iron. The new HQP double margin geometry for high precision steel drilling offers excellent surface finish, cylindricity and roundness. DRA removable chamfering attachment helps save production time with easy adjusting and insert replacement to create a fully indexable drilling and chamfering system all in one application.

KYOCERA’s 3rd generation MagicDrill indexable / U-drill has improved and increased productivity yet again with the latest technological advances in drilling. The new 6xD deep-hole drilling is achieved due to the excellent chip evacuation thanks to the highly rigid design toolholder drill body with chatter resistance and the new insert geometry / grade lineup. High speed and highly efficient drilling are possible with the latest combination of a CVD outer and PVD inner insert. The new unique insert designs control chip flow with smooth evacuation with compact chips from the outer edge insert and reduced weight of the chip thanks to the spoon-shaped inner insert’s cutting edge. Specifically designed drilling outer insert CVD grades and the PR1535 inner insert with 4 type of chipbreakers cover all possible drilling applications.
