CA3 Series

The newly developed CA3 series of CVD coated carbide turning inserts are a distinctive rose gold colour which offers high stability in cast iron machining. Improved coating adhesion prevents chipping and the micro TiCN coating provides excellent wear resistance. With three unique grades (CA310 / CA315 / CA320) and the material specific K series cast iron machining chipbreakers, the CA3 series covers all cast iron turning applications.

CA5 Series

KYOCERA’s CA5 series offers longer tool life and stable machining of steel applications. A multitude of P series chipbreakers and the wide range of grades (CA510 / CA515 / CA525 / CA530) cover every steel turning requirement, from continuous cutting to heavy interrupted cuts. CRIOS, a KYOCERA CVD coating technology, suppresses chipping, adds a higher layer of strength and sudden fracture resistance. 

CA025P

The exciting new CVD coated carbide grade for steel, CA025P, was developed by KYOCERA to cover a wider application criteria offering a grade that has improved wear resistance, excellent fracture resistance, excellent adhesion resistance as well as chipping resistance, making CA025P the go to CVD grade for steel turning applications. Available in the full range of negative and positive P series geometries for steel turning. 

CCX

CCX
KYOCERA’s new CCX insert grade technology, designed for high-speed finishing and remarkably long tool life. The newly developed unique cermet base material with a thin CVD coating gives greater productivity with high speed finishing (Max 800m/min for low carbon steel). The excellent wear resistance ensures long tool life for low carbon, general steel and cast iron finishing applications. 

H Series

A unique molded chipbreaker developed by KYOCERA provides excellent chip control when machining hardened material. 3 chipbreaker styles for a wide range of machining applications such as the new HD geometry for removing the carburized layer of hardened materials. 

KBN05M

KYOCERA’s popular KBN05M CBN grade has expanded to include the double-sided multi-edge insert range for economical hard material machining. The KBN05M hybrid grain structure grade covers a wide range of applications from continuous (high-speed finishing) to interrupted machining. 

KS6015 / KS6050 / CS7050

For the most efficient and reliable cast iron machining, KYOCERA has developed 3 grades of silicon nitride ceramic inserts for reduced heat at the cutting edge, offering excellent wear resistance.  KS6015: Wear-resistant machining  KS6050: General purpose and interrupted machining CS7050: High-speed machining

PDL Series

KYOCERA’s proprietary hydrogen-free DLC coating, PDL, offers the highest quality and long tool life when machining aluminium. Excellent surface finishes are achieved with aluminium welding resistance and the newly developed PDL010 grade offers even higher wear resistance for finishing applications. 

PR0 Series

The PR005S / PR015S MEGACOAT HARD coated grade for machining heat-resistant alloys such as inconel, titanium and waspaloy. The PR0 series provides a stable and consistent performance with improved thermal properties to reduce sudden fracture and decreased edge wear. Newly developed S series chipbreakers such as SQ, SX and SG offer low cutting force and edge strength in a multitude of applications. The new PR005S grade offers excellent wear-resistance in high-speed machining applications to dramatically reduce costs and machining time.

PR1535

The MEGACOAT NANO PVD turning grade, PR1535, is most widely applicable for heat resistant alloy, titanium alloy and stainless steels. The unique substrate designed by KYOCERA reduces sudden fracture during interrupted cutting or rough scaling machining. 

PR17 Series

KYOCERA’s latest PVD coating, PR17 series MEGACOAT NANO PLUS, offers excellent surface finish and long tool life in steels and stainless steels. Designed with precision in mind, PR17 range of carbide inserts provides outstanding performance in small parts machining applications, or where surface finish requirements are key. The new MEGACOAT NANO PLUS coating technology can be used in various workpiece materials, improving efficiencies and reducing costs.  

PV7 / TN6 Series

PV7 / TN6 SERIES
KYOCERA’s advanced cermet technology provides a high-quality surface finish and high-efficiency machining. The newly developed PV730 grade is the toughest cermet in the history of KYOCERA. Creating the unique hybrid cermet technology has three types of reinforcement techniques to offer the highest fracture resistance possible. The PV series of MEGACOAT NANO coated and TN series uncoated cermet grades offer a wide lineup to ensure cost-effective and productivity-boosting machining. 

JCT D-CLAMP

KYOCERA have expanded the popular D-Clamp style holder range to include the JCT (Jet Coolant Through) range, great for high pressure coolant through the toolholder for turning. Obtaining excellent chip control and dramatically improved tool life with high pressure coolant tool holders reduces costs, downtime and increase productivity substantially. The JCT east connection system makes integrating the range simple and quick. 

KPC

KYOCERA has launched the new polygon taper shank KPC series of tool holders to ensure higher rigidity and precision, as well as quick changing of tools resulting in less downtime during tool changes. Dual contact between taper face and flange face ensures high rigidity and locational accuracy.
