GRU Series – Plunge CNC Cylindrical Grinder
The grinding wheel spindle has been designed with high rigidity, low-temperature increases and non-contact hydro-static bearings to ensure accuracy of less than 0.001 mm. The spindle head is driven by a servo motor which provides variable speed change in both fixed type and non-fixed type spindles to meet the needs of every application. The wheel spindle can be quickly set up for plunge grinding and the optional I.D grinding wheel provides even more flexibility of applications.

An exclusive grinding motion with the grinding wheel spindle which performs a planetary motion and 3D synchronized grinding guaranteeing high accuracy of centre holes of roundness error less than 1μm. Center hole surface roughness N4 ~ N6 = 0.2 – 0.8 μm. Grinding wheel dressing is NC controlled with the dressing amount compensation function. Automatic centring of the work-piece clamping simplifies the setup, enabling excellent positioning accuracy of the centre hole achieving less than 10μm of alignment error between centre hole and axial centre. Internal taper angle error is less than 10 seconds.
