TQ Chipbreaker

KYOCERA’s new TQ moulded threading insert series offers increased productivity with improved chip control with the latest asymmetric chipbreaker design. Stable chip control is achieved with the new geometry regardless of the cutting direction with both radial and flank / flank compound infeed controlling chip-flow direction and easily breaking chips to reduce bird nesting. 15-21% less cutting force is generated at the cutting edge with the new TQ series due to the strong edge design able to resist and reduce vibration. Improved tool life is achieved in steel and stainless steel applications with the new MEGACOAT PR1215 and MEGACOAT NANO PR1515 / PR1535 grades offering greater wear resistance and stability in the cut. Available in partial profile 55° and 60° external inserts as well as full profile (full form) external and internal inserts in Metric (ISO) 60°, Unified (UN) 60°, Parallel Pipe (G / PF) & Whitworth (W) 55° and Tapered Pipe (R / PT / BSPT) 55°.
